Distance education, also known as distance learning, refers to the delivery of training or educational content via online. During distance education, instructors and students are not physically located in a traditional classroom. Distance education can occur synchronously or asynchronously and can be used for one student or multiple students. Distance education requires some form of technology to deliver and access content.
